Murder in the chocolate factory

2-4 h | 1-6 people | 14+age
level of difficulty: high
no destruction of the material

100 years of Edelberger Schokolade. That’s 100 years of customer loyalty, ambition and tradition.
A perfect occasion to celebrate the anniversary as a private function. And it would have been the best anniversary in the company’s history, hadn’t it been for the insidious murder of the sales manager.
Who killed Oliver Borgmann?
It’s most likely that the murderer was among the guests. But who was cold-blooded enough to commit such a crime while colleagues were happily celebrating next door?

Take a look behind the scenes of a chocolate manufacturer located in Germany and untangle a web of intrigues, blackmail, nepotism and excess in Oliver Borgmann’s Last Celebration.

    Quality of the sources

The story is logicly unfolded when you have readed all of the sources.

    Great investigator puzzle

Played this absorbing game over two days. The format is fun with clues and red herrings presented in both physical and digital form making it a treasure hunt as well. Felt like an unpressured escape room with more depth to the puzzle. Highly recommended.

    What a cool game 🙂

Bought a copy at Spiel ’24 on a whim. We really enjoyed this. Finished it over the course of two weekends with a break in the middle. The mixed media approach put me off at first but having audio clips and videos really added to it. You end up with a real sense of the personalities of the people involved. Great work, please translate another game to English 🙂

    Murder is not so sweet

The corporate anniversary is a very nice whodunnit. With different media, offline and online, you get to unravel the plot of a murder at a chocolate company. Playtime: 3-4 hours.

Detective Pizza and Detective Turkish Delight give this murder mystery game 5 stars!

We are 2 friends who study medicine – and we are on vacation together! We thought it would be nice to play a game of murder mystery. It took us 4 hours – but we got 90% in the end! We recommend this game to everyone who has a smart friend by their side and patience !! We were two dumb students but two negatives do make a positive!!!
You will definitely have a great time, and all evidence is thoughtfully planned out.

  8. Ryan Cathlyn Zwemke

    Great materials and solvable case!

My wife and I enjoyed „The Corporate Anniversary“. The materials were well produced and the online material was believable. Make more English cases!

    The Corporate Anniversary review

It is stunning how great the game was!
I never played before a game like this. I liked that there was real video, even Instagram accounts and companies‘ Intranet.
    WOW!
You have to try it to understand what I’m talking about!

  10. Karine Duffing

    Excellent intrigue!

This case is intricate, twisted and kept my husband and me on the edge of our seats for 3+ hours. The immersive experience is excellent, due in part to the great quality of the materials provided. There are no loose ends to anything, all comes together bit by bit to form a realistic investigative impression.
Logic, attention to detail and patience unknot the mystery.
Note to Magnificum: more games in English please, and well done!
