We place great importance on teamwork, both within the company and externally. From the initial concept to the very last sentence, we always work as a team and support one another, because alone you can’t achieve as much as you can together. What does that look like in practice? For example, warehouse staff are also involved with their opinions and ideas on cover design. The marketing department contributes thoughts on chatbots that are currently being programmed. Sales sometimes finds itself sweating in the workshop, hauling boxes. We work as one company, one team, one unit—where every individual matters and is heard.
This mindset is also reflected in our attitude toward competitors and the scene as a whole: mutual support, bringing projects to life together, and creating unique offers and giveaways for you through collaboration. Great examples of this are our partnerships with The Room, Crimetime, and Magicholz. We hope many more will follow!

Did you know that our company party has been produced entirely plastic-free for over a year now? Some of you may remember the small evidence bags the police used at the crime scene of the Edelberger Chocolate Manufactory to collect important clues. These have since made their way into our games as “plastic-free plastic bags.”
Why? Because we believe that, as a publisher, we have a responsibility to act in an environmentally responsible way.
In doing so, we focus on resource-conscious packaging design and energy-efficient shipping. Instead of boxes filled with air, we deliver criminal cases in compact envelopes. Our game materials are not destroyed after use but can be passed on intact to another detective agency.
In addition, every component of our games is manufactured in Germany.

Grey uniformity instead of colorful diversity? Not with us!
"The greatest cultures are born out of diversity, and simplicity perished." said Torsten Marold, a German game designer. Thus he is quite right, we find.
In our team, it is completely normal that someone, because of their religion, can only eat after sunset during fasting periods—and that we shift shared meals into the night hours. It is normal for us that team members, due to their neurodiversity, need more flexible working arrangements, and that we schedule meetings accordingly. It is normal for us when someone distances themselves from their sex assigned at birth and their pronouns change. For us, it is a given when someone takes time off due to menstrual pain. And it is just as natural for us when love is lived openly and universally.
Because for us, people are not a uniform mass. We single no one out—and we disadvantage no one because of who they are.
This is also reflected in our games and our communication. Gender-inclusive language is just as much a matter of course for us as portraying a diverse range of people in our stories. Because the most beautiful images and the best stories emerge from the natural diversity of humanity.

We’ve found that flexible scheduling brings out the best in us. Everyone decides for themselves when their most productive working time is!
On some days you’re mentally elsewhere or want to meet your girlfriend; on others you’re so immersed in the work that you stay motivated even after eight hours. All in all, we’re convinced that this approach results in significantly higher quality.
Our “HR policy” is grassroots-democratic, built on high flexibility and flat hierarchies. We can trust that everyone takes responsibility and gives their best with passion. Clear goals and deadlines are met efficiently this way—even if the late sleepers sometimes have to get up half an hour earlier 😉
